Brent Rowland – Building-Envelope Specialist

Brent Rowland is a building-envelope and waterproofing specialist based in Okotoks, Alberta. He has more than 30 years of experience in roofing, exterior waterproofing, and building-envelope construction. Starting as a labourer, he worked his way through foreman and management roles before moving into inspections and consulting.
For the past 13 years, Brent has focused on finding the causes of building-envelope problems, assessing condition, and preparing practical specifications for residential, commercial, and multi-family properties. He holds the Registered Roof Observer (RRO), Red Seal Equivalent (RSE), and Green Roof Professional (GRP) credentials.
His hands-on experience covers SBS and built-up roofing systems, vinyl deck waterproofing, aluminum railings, soffits, gutters, cladding, and drainage. That background helps him understand how these parts work together to keep water out and manage moisture throughout a building.
Brent takes a straightforward approach: explain what he finds, make clear recommendations, and give contractors specifications they can follow. He brings the perspective of someone who has done the work himself and understands what it takes to get it right.
